Why Split PDF Files?

PDF documents are often sent as massive, multi-page files. However, you rarely need to share the entire document with every recipient. The PDF Splitter allows you to break down these large files into manageable, relevant chunks.

Common scenarios for splitting PDFs include:

  • Extracting Specific Pages: Pull a single signed contract page out of a 50-page legal document to send to a client.
  • Separating Scans: If you scanned a stack of invoices into one continuous PDF, you can use the "Extract All" mode to instantly break them back into individual files.

Understanding the Split Modes

Extract All

The burst mode. If you upload a 10-page document, this mode will generate a ZIP folder containing 10 individual, one-page PDF files.

Fixed Intervals

Breaks the document into equal chunks. If you have a 12-page PDF and choose intervals of "3", you will receive four 3-page documents.

Custom Ranges

Total control. Type specific page numbers and ranges (like 1-5, 8, 12-14) to generate specific documents containing only those exact pages.
